This year marked the first ever World Radiotherapy Awareness Day (WRAD) and the Global Coalition for Radiotherapy (GCR) is proud to have supported this initiative as the governing body. In just a short amount of time we have achieved an incredible milestone in bringing people together from around the world to highlight the essential role of radiotherapy in treating cancer.

The Global Coalition for Radiotherapy and Radiotherapy UK hosted an online Coffee & Catch-up Meeting for World Radiotherapy Awareness Day (WRAD). In this virtual meeting, they discussed WRAD objectives, theme, and why each organisation was involved in this movement. Attendees participated in an open discussion at the conclusion of the meeting.
