The Global Coalition for Radiotherapy (GCR) was formed in April 2020, to understand the challenges and opportunities facing radiotherapy delivery during the radical disruption of cancer services worldwide caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

In the past three years, the coalition of front-line radiation oncologists from around the world has grown to include industry leaders, providers of care, global health organisations, patient advocates and radiotherapy professional teams.

 

Through global webinars, shared advocacy and a dynamic network of industry professionals, the GCR is meeting needs in the post COVID-19 era. This multidisciplinary group acts as a hub of advice and collaboration to support the global radiotherapy community in seizing the opportunities for radiotherapy in technology advancement to adapt health care delivery, specifically to underserved populations.
