The Global Coalition for Radiotherapy (GCR) is a collaborative community of experts connecting industry, global institutions and societies, policy leaders, and patient advocacy organizations to accelerate universal and equitable access to quality radiotherapy worldwide.

 

This special GCR Alliance was established to create a forum and process whereby radiotherapy industry partners define and communicate one strong radiotherapy advocacy voice through strategic thought leadership and input on operational implementation and monitoring of mission-critical programs and activities .

Habib
Nehmé

Habib Nehme is a senior healthcare and MedTech executive with nearly 35 years of global experience across developed and emerging markets.

He is the former Chief Commercial Officer of Elekta, where he played a key role in shaping and executing the company’s global commercial strategy.

Previously, he served as Executive Vice President for the Intercontinental Region and chaired Elekta’s Commercial Board from 2018 to 2023.

Earlier in his career, he spent 27 years at GE Healthcare in senior leadership roles across commercial strategy and business and markets development.

Habib has lived and worked in Europe, Africa, and Asia, giving him a strong global perspective on healthcare markets.

He holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, a Marketing degree from HEC Paris, and a Black Belt certification in Commercial Quality.

Birgit Fleurent

Birgit is a global healthcare executive advisor and a recognized transformational healthcare leader with over 35 years of experience across 6 continents. Her expertise includes global strategic, business and marketing leadership, management and execution in the medical device, life science and infectious disease diagnostic industries. 

 

Birgit is Deputy Chair of the Board at the Global Coalition for Radiotherapy (GCR) and has consulted for several multinational and non-profit organisations, most recently for the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS), where she led strategic and marketing transformation. As Chief Marketing Officer at Accuray for nearly 7 years, she was an instrumental member of the executive leadership team, with a global team of more than 60 professionals supporting a $400 million radiotherapy business. 

 

Prior to Accuray, Birgit worked internationally in both private and public sectors, from small organisations to large multinationals including Haemonetics, Genelabs Diagnostics, the WHO, UNITAID, and DuPont Medical Products.
