The Global Coalition for Radiotherapy (GCR) is proud to participate in the 11th annual World Cancer Series Europe. Prof Pat Price (GCR Co-Founder and Chair of the Board), Darien Laird (GCR Executive Director), Mary Gospodarowicz (Radiotherapy Essential Standards Co-Chair) from GCR’s leadership team will be featured as speakers at this year's summit. Along with our colleague Lisa Stevens at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and Virve Sarja (Varian), we are honored to take part in an important full radiotherapy panel discussing strengthening radiotherapy across Europe.
World Cancer Series Europe: Shaping the cancer-control agenda
The one and a half day summit will take place on 8-9 June 2026, in Brussels. Featuring over 80 speakers, with an audience representing policymakers, healthcare providers, industry leaders, academics, patient groups, biotech and medtech organisations, NGOs and investors.
Speaker Spotlight

Pat Price is a featured speaker highlighted on their website. She provided key perspectives on radiotherapy during an interview ahead of her conference address.
“The Global Coalition for Radiotherapy is an example of how multi-stakeholder alignment can accelerate progress with a focus on advocacy. International collaboration also plays a key role, enabling countries to share expertise and scale proven solutions more quickly.”
Participating in the World Cancer Series Europe, alongside respected leaders and organizations, expands GCR’s collaborative network, and strengthens our contributions to impactful conversations that advance our mission of equitable access to quality radiotherapy.
We encourage attendees to join the radiotherapy session on 9th June and hear from our GCR colleagues. We look forward to engaging with collaborators, partners, and attendees throughout the event.
Additional information about the conference, including the full agenda and registration details, can be found on the official website: World Cancer Series Europe
