In pursuit of our vision to expand global access to quality radiotherapy, the Global Coalition for Radiotherapy (GCR) is proud to establish a partnership with the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). As a member of the UICC, GCR unites with over 1,100 members from more than 170 countries.

Thanks to this strategic cooperation, we will aim to strengthen cancer care systems in low- and lower-middle-income countries.
Cary Adams, CEO of UICC stated:
“This partnership reflects our commitment to ensuring equitable access to essential cancer treatment. By supporting GCR’s operational capacity, we’re reinforcing the global fight against cancer with radiotherapy as a critical element of the cancer care continuum.”
Darien Laird, Executive Director of GCR, added:
“We are thrilled to formalize our collaboration with UICC. Supported by our global and united network of experts in radiotherapy and cancer care, we will work together to amplify our impact and drive sustainable and universal access to quality radiotherapy worldwide."
GCR is also excited to announce that Philippe Guinot of the UICC has been elected to serve as a member of the GCR board. Philippe was present at the signing of the MOU between GCR and UICC, alongside Deputy Chair of the GCR Board, Birgit Fleurent.

We look forward to this new partnership and supporting our collective goals to unite and support the cancer community, and ensure that cancer control remains a priority on the global health and development agenda.
