GCR 3 YEAR SURVEY
Connection during covid
At the onset of the global Covid-19 pandemic, the first GCR radiotherapy professionals came together and learned from Professor Conghua Xie and Professor Melvin Chua in Wuhan, then Dr. Andrea Riccardo Filippi from Lobardy, Italy in the spring of 2020. These landmark meetings began the quest to provide universal and equitable access to quality radiotherapy during one of the most complicated medical epidemics of our time.
need for a global network
This desire for global connection in the radiotherapy community from industry leaders, patient groups, individuals, advocates and charities from all sectors remained essential as the GCR formed a Radiotherapy Task Force to respond to humanitarian crises, particularly when the war broke out in Ukraine in February 2022. Over and over again, the GCR became the clear option for crises collaboration as the community came together and provided essential intelligence to the WHO, EU Health Policy Platform, ECO/ASCO Special Network and others.
Publications to advance RT Exposure
Since inception, the GCR has actively published white papers, advocacy resources and project-based intel to advise ministries of health and politicians on health policy and present on behalf of the global radiotherapy community at high impact events.

The GCR's strategic digital innovation and communication strategy is ahead of the curve in the cancer community as we connect industry and clinicians virtually, all while spreading awareness and keeping a pulse on the radiotherapy world through our vital news digest, electronic updates, social media and so much more.
