Uniting under a shared vision of improving global access to radiotherapy, the Global Coalition for Radiotherapy (GCR) and Stingray Healthcare Group have established a partnership to advance education, advocacy, and innovation within the field of radiotherapy.

Stingray Healthcare Group is Europe’s largest independent cancer care platform, treating over 40,000 patients a year. Its mission is to expand access to high-quality, patient-centred cancer care across Europe. This partnership promises to address key challenges such as access inequality, workforce development, and the adoption of new technologies.

As part of the partnership, Stingray and GCR will engage in joint advocacy initiatives, including a close collaboration on the drafting of the Radiotherapy Essential Standards Program. Together, both organizations will spotlight the critical role of radiotherapy in global cancer treatment and highlight the importance of collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors to improve outcomes for patients worldwide.

Prof Pat Price, Chair of the Board of the Global Coalition for Radiotherapy, commented:

“Stingray Healthcare Group's leadership in clinical excellence and commitment to equitable cancer care make them a natural partner for GCR. This collaboration brings together shared values and a common goal, to ensure that every patient, wherever they live, has access to the radiotherapy they need.”

Darien Laird, Executive Director of the Global Coalition for Radiotherapy, added:

“By aligning Stingray’s operational expertise with GCR’s global advocacy network, we are taking a major step forward in uniting the radiotherapy community to tackle access disparities and improve patient outcomes on a global scale.”

Birgit Fleurent, Deputy Chair of the Board of the Global Coalition for Radiotherapy, stated:

“This partnership underscores the power of collaboration in driving systemic change. Through joint initiatives, we can amplify awareness, share best practices, and accelerate the implementation of innovative radiotherapy solutions worldwide.”

Ralph Hefti, Chief Executive Officer of Stingray Healthcare Group, said:

“This partnership goes beyond shared values; it is about shared action. By working closely with GCR, we are not only raising awareness of radiotherapy’s critical role in cancer treatment but also driving tangible change to ensure more patients can benefit from high-quality, innovative care.”

Through this agreement, Stingray Healthcare Group will actively contribute to the implementation of GCR’s global strategy, supporting initiatives that bridge the gap between innovation and accessibility in cancer treatment.

The GCR values the expertise and commitment that Stingray brings to this partnership, and is proud to work together to improve patient outcomes.
