Announcement: New GCR Industry Leaders Alliance

The Global Coalition for Radiotherapy (GCR) is pleased to announce the formation of the new “GCR Industry Leaders Alliance”. This alliance will unite industry partners to advocate for radiotherapy through strategic thought leadership and the implementation of programs designed to expand access to radiotherapy. 

We are delighted to welcome Habib Nehme as co-chair of the GCR Industry Leaders Alliance.  

Habib is a senior healthcare and MedTech executive with nearly 35 years of global experience across developed and emerging markets. He is currently supporting the GCR as Senior Advisor for Global Radiotherapy Access. He is the former Chief Commercial Officer of Elekta, where he played a key role in shaping and executing the company’s global commercial strategy.  Previously, he served as Executive Vice President for the Intercontinental Region and chaired Elekta’s Commercial Board from 2018 to 2023.  

We are also pleased to share that Birgit Fleurent, GCR Co-Founder and Deputy Chair of the Board will co-chair the GCR Industry Leaders Alliance. 

Birgit is a global healthcare executive advisor and a recognized transformational healthcare leader with over 35 years of experience across 6 continents. Her expertise includes global strategic, business and marketing leadership, management and execution in the medical device, life science and infectious disease diagnostic industries. 

Birgit has consulted for several multinational and non-profit organisations, most recently for the International Stereotactic Radiosurgery Society (ISRS), where she led strategic and marketing transformation. As Chief Marketing Officer at Accuray, where she served for nearly 7 years, she was an instrumental member of the executive leadership team, with a global team of more than 60 professionals supporting a $400 million radiotherapy business.
