Pat Price, GCR, Radiotherapy UK

Pat Price trained in medicine at Cambridge and oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital. A consultant for 35 years, she established the first Ralston Paterson Chair in Radiation Oncology at Christie Hospital and co-founded the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre. She chairs Radiotherapy UK, founded the #CatchUpWithCancer campaign, and co-founded the Global Coalition for Radiotherapy. She is a Visiting Professor at Imperial College and leads an international research program in imaging technology.

Claire Smith holds the position of UK National Operations Manager at Icon Cancer Centre United Kingdom, part of the global Icon Group. With extensive experience as a radiation therapist, her career spans various international leadership roles in the UK, Australia, and China. Claire has significantly contributed to the development of global radiation therapy networks, particularly through innovative training initiatives. As the National Operations Manager, she directs the operational management and strategic growth of cancer services, enhancing technical capabilities and patient care.

Laurence Court, MD Anderson

Laurence Court trained at University College London, and then took a scenic career route which eventually led him to MD Anderson Cancer Center in the USA. He currently leads a research group which focuses on developing tools to support cancer treatments in low- and middle-income countries. They have spent the last few years developing the Radiation Planning Assistant, a web-based automated contouring and planning solution that we hope will help clinical teams scale their efforts to treat more cancer patients.

Vishal Borikar, Varian

Vishal Borikar is a Senior Service Marketing Manager, EMEA at Varian. He joined Varian in January 2019 and has over 15 years of global experience in Product Lifecycle Management & Marketing with Varian and General Electric.  He has an MBA from the University of St.Gallen, a program for Leadership Development from Esade, and engineering degrees from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and Nagpur University.

Solomon Kibudde, Uganda Cancer Inst.

Solomon Kibudde is a Radiation Oncologist at the Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI), where he led the transition from 2D to 3D radiotherapy and advanced techniques. As the Program Director of the UCI Radiation Oncology Fellowship, and a Founding Member of the Haematology and Oncology Society of Uganda, he has contributed significantly to the advancement of cancer care in Uganda. He chaired the 1st edition of the Uganda Cancer Treatment Guidelines, supported the development of the Uganda National Cancer Control Plan (in collaboration with the PACT program), and drafted the proposal to establish regional radiotherapy centers with support from IAEA’s Rays of Hope initiative. He is an Investigator for the HypoAfrica Clinical Trial Network, which aims to expand the use of hypofractionated radiotherapy to enhance access to cancer treatment across Africa.

Robert Yates, Centre for Universal Health

Robert Yates is a political health economist specializing in universal health coverage (UHC) and progressive health financing. He is an Honorary Associate Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Director of UHC Consulting Ltd. Between 2019 and 2024 he was the Executive Director of the Centre for Universal Health at Chatham House and a long-term consultant to The Elders on their health programme.

Data-Driven Decision Making

 

Katie Spencer, RTDS

Katie Spencer is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Leeds Cancer Centre, Associate Professor in the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences and National Clinical Lead for Radiotherapy Data at NHS England. In her academic work and role in NHS England, Katie focuses on delivering analyses that support improvements in the equity and value of cancer care and  radiotherapy. In collaboration with the Royal College of Radiologists and European Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology she has used her expertise in health economics to undertake work seeking to better understand the costs of NHS radiotherapy and separately to consider the cost-effectiveness of novel techniques. Her current work brings these two strands together, using extensive routine cancer data to drive policy that reduces inequalities by understanding how we spend money in NHS cancer care and if variation in this contributes to the deprivation gap in cancer survival.

Habib Nehme, Elekta

Habib Nehme is the Chief Commercial Officer and a key member of the Executive Committee at Elekta.  He previously served as Executive Vice President for the Intercontinental Region. Habib chaired Elekta's Commercial Board from 2021 to 2023, driving strategic initiatives across diverse regions.  Before joining Elekta, Habib spent 27 years in various leadership positions at GE Healthcare, building expertise in commercial and marketing strategies for the medical technology sector.  He holds a master degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Technology of Compiegne in France and Université Saint-Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon, as well as a marketing degree from HEC Paris.

Frederique Moureau, Accuray

Dr Frederique Moureau is Director Health Economics and Public Affairs for Europe, India, Middle East and Africa region at Accuray, primarily focusing on reimbursement and advocating for radiotherapy.  During her 30+ years of experience in the medical device industry, she held various assignments In Health Economics, Medical Affairs, Sales & Marketing and Regulatory.  She holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy, a PhD in Industrial-Biomedical-Pharmacy from Paris-Cité university, a Master in Health Economics from Lyon University and a MBA from Patheon Sorbonne.

Lisa Stevens, IAEA

Lisa Stevens is Director, Division of Programme of Action for Cancer Therapy (PACT), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) since June 2019. Prior to IAEA she spent 24 years at the US NCI, including as Deputy Director, Center for Global Health. She co-founded the International Cancer Control Partnerships (2012) with UICC and is the Vice President of Women in Nuclear (WiN) IAEA.

Nwamaka Lasebikan, AORTIC

Nwamaka Lasebikan is a clinical oncologist and clinical investigator providing innovative solutions and coordinating programs within multi-donor-funded organizations in public and private health sector in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).  She currently serves as the Director of Research and Innovation at the National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (NICRAT).  In this role, she provides national leadership for setting the national cancer research agenda and capacity building for the next generation of cancer research leaders. She is a member of the City Cancer Challenge Working Group developing gender responsive health systems for cancer care. She is the National President of ARCON- Association of Radiation and Clinical Oncologist of Nigeria, and Secretary Treasurer of AORTIC.
